Privacy — plain and short

This site was built to give, not to take. Here is everything it knows about you.
No accounts. You never sign up, log in, or give us a password. There is no account system on this site at all.
Your study notes stay on your device. Your notebook entries, quiz scores, reading progress, reading time, and the name you type on your Ministry Certificate are stored in your own browser, on your own device. They never reach our servers, and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser’s data erases them — unless you have saved a copy yourself, which you can do below.
You can keep your own copy. At the end of any quiz you can email your progress to yourself, or save it to a file, and put it back later on the same device or a new one. Your own phone or computer makes that copy and sends it where you choose. It never passes through us, and we never see your email address. Your notebook is only ever put in a saved file, never in an email. A saved copy carries the name on your certificate, and putting it back asks for that name, so it is no use to anyone else.
Visitor counting. Three counters run here, and nothing else does. Google Analytics tells us which pages people read and which countries they are read in, so we know which studies are helping people; it runs on every page of the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and measures how fast pages really load on an ordinary phone — we use it to keep the site quick on a slow connection, which matters because much of the world reads this on mobile data. It sets no cookie and does not follow you to any other site. Our own counter records one thing only — a running total of visits per country. It keeps no address, no visit record, and nothing tied to a person. If you block any of them with your browser, everything on the site still works exactly the same.
If you download a study, we add one to a plain count of how many times that study has been downloaded in that language. Nothing about you is recorded with it.
If you share a testimony, we receive what you wrote, the name you chose to put on it — you may leave that blank — and the language of the page you were on. We never ask for your email address, and there is nowhere on the form to type one. Your country is filled in by our host from the connection your message arrives on, so it can be shown beside your words; you never type it. A real person reads every testimony before it appears on the site. The moment you send it, the page shows you a private link that removes your own testimony whenever you like — or write to us, and we will take it down.
Podcast pages. Where a lesson has a podcast episode, that page holds a Spotify player. Spotify is a company of its own: when one of those pages opens, Spotify can see that visit, under its privacy policy rather than ours. Apart from the analytics named above, no other page here loads anything from anybody else.

Hosting. This site is served by Cloudflare, which — like any web host — processes visitor IP addresses simply to deliver the pages you ask for, and gives us aggregate visit counts.
